Pantai Panjang/ Panjang beach situate at Pariwisata Street, Bengkulu city. The length of this beach about 7 KM, with white sand and good wave to surfing (best time to surf about early morning; mid to high tide were happen). It is easy to reach by public transportation.
The most unique about Panjang beach is the tourist can ride the elephant along the beach, it is starting right in front of Pasir Putih cottage. And to riding the elephant you will charge about Rp. 5,000/ person, but it still can be bargain if you want to ride elephant with 3 person at the time. Elephant ride is available only every sunday, and also in every national holiday.
At Panjang beach there are several tourism fasilities; such as cottages, hotels, street stalls, cafes, swimming pools, fishing ponds, sport court, and many other fasilities.
